Help with Small Group

Small Group is an app for church small groups: each day, members tap in with a photo of where they're reading. Something not working, or a question? Email support@smallgroupapp.com, or use You → Send feedback in the app.

Signing in

Enter your email and the app sends you a 6-digit code. No password needed. If the code doesn't come, check your spam folder, or tap Send a new code. Only the newest code works.

Joining a group

Groups are invite-only. Open the invite link someone sent you on your iPhone and it opens the app. You can also paste it under You → Join with an invite link. Owners and moderators share links from the Invite button on the Group tab.

Tapping in

Tap the camera button in the middle of the tab bar, take or pick a photo, add a caption, and choose which of your groups to post to. Your photos and captions stay up for 30 days. To delete one sooner, tap the … on it.

Reminders and notifications

Open the Group tab and tap the gear. Under Your notifications you can turn the daily reminder on or off and pick its time. If nothing arrives, make sure notifications for Small Group are on in your iPhone's Settings.

Reporting and blocking

Report a post: tap the … on it, then Report post. The group's owner and moderators review it, and so do I, within 24 hours. Nobody is told who reported it.
Block someone: tap the … on one of their posts, then Block. You and they stop seeing each other's posts. To undo it, go to You → Blocked people.

Deleting your account

Go to You → Delete account. Or email me and I'll do it for you.
