Terms

Terms of Use

These are the rules for using Small Group, an app where church small groups tap in each day with a photo of where they're reading. By creating an account or signing in, you agree to them.

The short version

Be kind, and post only what belongs in a church small group. There's zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. Posts that break these rules come down, and people who break them can lose their account.

Who can use it

What you post

Your photos and captions stay yours. By posting, you let Small Group store them and show them to the people in the groups you post to, for as long as they're up (30 days, or until you or a moderator takes them down). That's only so the app can work; they're never sold or used for anything else.

What isn't allowed

Don't post or send anything that is:

And don't abuse other people in the app, including by joining groups to bother their members.

Reporting and blocking

Moderation

Each group's owner and moderators can remove posts and people from their group, and block people from rejoining. They have to follow these rules too. I can remove any post that breaks these rules, and suspend or delete the account of anyone who does, without warning.

Leaving

You can delete your account anytime under You → Delete account. The privacy policy explains what that deletes.

The app itself

Small Group is free and made by one person. I'll do my best to keep it running, but it's provided as is: I can't promise it will always be available, free of mistakes, or that nothing will ever be lost. As far as the law allows, I'm not responsible for losses that come from using it.

If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard license for apps also applies. These terms are between you and me, not Apple, and Apple isn't responsible for the app or its support.

Changes and questions

If these terms change, the date below changes too, and I'll say so in the app for bigger changes. Questions go to support@smallgroupapp.com.
